So Yesterday...

I stared into the sky; clean, crisp, clear.  Not a cloud in sight.  A rather beautiful day, simplistically so.  The grass blazed green, renewed from recent rain.  Birds chirped delightfully,  echoing timelessly across the property,  rejoicing in the warmth of the sun.  The boys giggled and called out to one another, hazy unformed words,  as they ran about and played.  The presence of the day stretched beyond me, keeping me grounded.  Holding on ever so lightly to my consciousness, as I gazed above.

Feeling lazy, I wished for a cloud to morph to my fancy.  Cloudless, empty, blue.  A canvas awaiting a limitless dream.  The expanse of it all was overwhelming.  Not feeling the dreamer type.  I gave shape to creation on another level.  Having formed my mud people, I left them gazing at the sky to dream the dreams I long gave up on.  I shall harvest them for dessert and rejoice in their reminiscent glory another day.

What a lovely read so early in my morning! So far it's been Facebook status updates, goofy headlines, and weather. Thank you for this!

Nice, Harmony. You create a peaceful scene.

I can't write like this. At some point in my story, someone would have slipped on a banana peel or taken a soccer ball to the nads, and then the whole effect would have been ruined.

Samsmama ~ I think it's beyond awesome, that you would stop by after all this time... THANK YOU!

Wit ~ I prefer your stories and people getting their nads knocked around by soccer balls.

True Love that everyone wanted. However, many people tend to fail with the attempt to discover it.
